We think it is important to be mindful of those less fortunate. Every year, HealthyVibes will donate $1 from every membership to a charitable organization. In 2010, we have chosen The Smile Train as our charity of choice.
The Smile Train provides free cleft palate surgery for millions of poor children in 77 countries and free training for doctors and medical professionals. Life for children with unrepaired clefts in these countries can be very difficult. Most cannot speak or eat properly, aren't allowed to attend school or hold a job, and face shame, isolation, and heartache. But for as little as $250 and a 45 minute surgery, these children's lives can be changed forever.
